Health Benefits
Please remember that health benefits provided are generally self-funded and paid from the assets of the Boilermakers National Health and Welfare Fund. View the list of covered services below.
For a complete explanation of the health benefits available to you under the Boilermakers National Health and Welfare Fund, please refer to the Summary Plan Description (SPD) for your specific Plan. Currently available to you online is the Summary Plan Description (SPD) for the Active Plan G and Reduced Plan G for active participants. For now, if you need any other Plan SPD, please contact the Administrative Office. We intend to have the Retiree Plan SPD available online in the future.

In addition, as a general rule, the expenses you incur must be medically necessary and cannot be experimental. Finally, some expenses may be excluded or subject to additional requirements. National Transplant Program

Supported by a national network of high-quality transplant centers, our program offers complete care and assistance if you ever require an organ transplant. Personal case managers guide you throughout the transplant process - from the first evaluation and screening visit to a maximum of one year post-transplant. If Medicare or another group plan is your primary coverage, the National Transplant Program and its benefits are not available to you.

Get the preventive dental treatment you and your family need to maintain healthy smiles and superior oral health. Our coverage includes orthodontia services for eligible dependent children. Vision Care
Our coverage emphasizes high quality routine eye care.

Disability Insurance
