    • Annuity Loan Program in Jeopardy

      OCT. 14, 2009 - Due to the high rates of default in making  timely loan payments, the Annuity Loan Program may be reduced or eliminated. more

    • Health and Welfare Employer Contributions Increase for 2010

      OCT. 1, 2009 - Effective January 1, 2010, employer contribution rates for Boilermakers National Health and Welfare Fund (the Fund) will increase for Plans G and GR. Contributions for additional life insurance and AD&D, premiums for Plan M, and self-pay rates for the Special Widow(ers) Plan will not increase. more

    • 7th Special Retiree Work Rule

      AUG 31, 2009 - The Board of Trustees of the Boilermaker-Blacksmith National Pension Trust recently instituted the 7th Special Retiree Work Rule effective October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010. more

    • Changes in Income Tax Withholding for Pensioners

      JUNE 29, 2009 - Retired participants may have noticed the amount of their monthly pension checks increase due to new 2009 tax withholding tables issued by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This required change will likely result in a decrease in the amount of income tax withheld from retirees' checks. Retired participants could end up owing money for their 2009 taxes. more

    • Annuity Trust Implements Multi-Factor Authentication

      MAY 5, 2009 - The Boilermaker National Annuity Trust is introducing a new security feature called Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) that is designed to make electronic account information more secure than ever. more

    • Pension Annual Funding Notice Released

      MAY 1, 2009 - On April 30, the Pension Annual Funding Notice for the 2008 Plan Year was released for distribution along with the Notice of Plan Election to Maintain 2008 Green Zone Funding Status in 2009. more
