    • Tele-Town Hall Meeting for Seniors on Affordable Care Act

      JUNE 7, 2010 - On Tuesday, June 8, at 12:15 p.m. CST, President Barack Obama, along with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, will host a national tele-town hall meeting from Wheaton, Maryland, to discuss how the Affordable Care Act benefits seniors. The meeting will be streamed live at www.whitehouse.gov/live and www.healthreform.gov. more

    • Termination of UAB Health and Welfare Participation

      MAY 12, 2010 - Unless CIGNA is able to reach a new contract agreement, the University of Alabama Birmingham Health System (UAB), will no longer participate in the CIGNA network as of May 9, 2010. CIGNA and UAB continue to work together to reach an agreement. However, if UAB does leave the CIGNA network, there is important information you need to know now. more

    • Pension Annual Funding & Plan Funding Status Notices Released

      APRIL 22, 2010 - In April, the Pension Annual Funding Notice for the 2009 Plan Year was released for distribution along with the Plan Funding Status Notice. The Boilermaker-Blacksmith National Pension Trust is required by federal law to supply participants with this information. more

    • COBRA Premium Reduction Extended

      JAN. 11, 2010 - The duration for the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) premium reduction initiated under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) has been extended from nine months to fifteen months. more

    • Changes to Annuity Fees and Statements

      JAN. 8, 2010 - Starting this year, you will only receive two paper statements per year from the Boilermakers National Annuity Trust (the Plan). Additionally, the quarterly fee for participant accounts will be increasing from $7.25 per quarter to $9.50 per quarter. more

    • Changes Made to Annuity Plan

      JAN. 8, 2010 - The Board of Trustees for the Boilermakers National Annuity Trust (the Plan) has made changes to the Plan. more
